A former soldier. A stubborn cowgirl. A wedding no one expected.

Huck Jones never believed in love, but a vow is a vow—and this former Special Forces soldier turned rodeo cowboy has been roped into walking his fallen commander’s sister down the aisle. When the groom bolts and the bride’s pregnant, Huck steps in as the only man who can save the day.

Willow McBride is fierce, independent, and determined to keep her late brother’s ranch—and her heart—intact. She doesn’t need a hero, and she certainly doesn’t need a stand-in groom. But Huck is nothing if not persistent, and his sense of duty—and undeniable attraction—threatens to sweep her off her feet.

Amid rodeo dust, small-town drama, and unexpected sparks, Huck and Willow must decide if love is worth bending the rules—or if duty will always come first.

The Montana Cowboy’s Duty is the second title in the Cowboys of Honor series.  We’re about to meet two extremely stubborn people, one determined to fulfill his fallen leader’s request, and the other is having huge doubts about her baby daddy’s ability to focus on anything beyond himself.  Time to return to Marietta, Montana, and enjoy a bumpy ride for two folks that may not know it yet, but are perfect for each other…if they can set aside that infamous stubborn attitude.

Willow didn’t plan on marrying any time soon; she had events to compete in, a ranch to run, family to tend to… she had plans. Yet those plans changed with two pink lines. She wasn’t expecting marriage to her baby’s daddy, but then it’s kind of hard to stop an avalanche heading downhill. If only he had paid more attention to their impending wedding instead of heading out for casting calls in his determination to milk his good looks and championship wins into an acting career. They were far from “in love,” but his disinterest in things important to Willow, like her family, had her questioning this decision.

Huck is the second military “brother” to fulfill one of his friend’s to-do/bucket list requests. And this one isn’t going to be exactly easy. Jace was supposed to walk his sister down the aisle at her wedding. That was no longer possible, but Huck planned to take his place and do right by his friend’s love for his sister. But it didn’t take long to see that things are not as perfect as they should be between this bride and groom. Or to discover that he had a strong attraction to a woman who was totally off-limits to him. This mission just became even more complicated.

I loved watching two equally stubborn, independent, determined people fall in love under the most unlikely circumstances. Willow and Huck simply fit; they felt right together, but there are going to be a few rough roads before they find their happily-ever-after ending. If you love a well-written story that is full of emotions, laughter, tears, regrets, promises, and a couple who obviously complete each other… then you’re going to love The Montana Cowboy’s Duty.
