The Rancher’s Second Chance opens the Haden Creek Hearts series with a sweet second-chance romance about former high school sweethearts torn apart when Lily left town.  Now she’s back home after her grandmother’s passing, only to discover that time hasn’t dampened her feelings for Jake, and, according to her grandmother’s will, she has no choice but to work closely with him for the next month.  Can the time apart show them what they’ve been ignoring for years?  Or is the risk of opening their hearts again too high?

I enjoyed Lily and Jake’s romance.  I love the small-town setting and the feel of everyone knowing each other (and each other’s business).  Their story is well-written, engaging, and emotional as Lily and Jake decide whether to take the second chance fate (and maybe Lily’s grandmother) has offered… or keep their distance and let the past remain where it has for so long.  If that sounds like your kind of Romance, then you’d enjoy The Rancher’s Second Chance.
